Religious Sisters Appreciation Day
Traditionally held at St. Patrick’s Parish in Kansas City, KS, all religious sisters in the surrounding area are invited to a fun afternoon of bingo, togetherness and BBQ. Serra members from sponsoring clubs, as well as the Bishops of both the Kansas City-St. Joseph and Kansas City, KS Dioceses are invited to join the fun. The key purpose is to celebrate the fantastic contributions of vowed religious to the Church and the community. For many of the participants, this provides a means to renew old friendships and make new friends. Begun by the Kansas City, KS Serra Club, this activity is now jointly sponsored with Club 25.
