S.O.S. Dinner and Auction (Support Our Seminarians)
Begun in 1993, SOS is a fun-filled evening attended by those who support vocations to the priesthood. The evening consists of a cocktail/social time, a “marketplace” where many donated items are available for sale, plus delicious bakery products made at Conception Abbey. Dinner is served with complimentary wine. During a short program both bishops say a few words, there is an inspirational talk by a dynamic priest and a seminarian. The proceeds from SOS are divided among the Archdiocese of Kansas City KS, the Kansas City-St. Joseph diocese, and Conception Seminary. Serra Club supports the event as a Club and many members individually purchase tables.
